Sunny Park is a designer, problem-solver, and eternal optimist who loves people, stories, and building things that make life feel a little lighter.

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a designer. I studied Economics at UC Berkeley, but I was always drawn to the human side of things—why people behave the way they do, what motivates them, and how small design choices can meaningfully improve someone’s day. That curiosity ultimately led me to fall in love with product design.
Whether it’s while I’m designing, living in a new place (Bay Area, Chicago, Seoul, Barcelona, and soon more), or overthinking the daily NYT Connections, I love tackling difficult problems and using my experiences, curiosity, and collaboration with others to solve them.
Who I Am
I design because I love people.
I care about how they feel, what confuses or delights them, and how to make their lives easier. I naturally listen across cultures and personalities, noticing the small human details others might miss.
I learn by following my curiosity.
I love learning so much that I tend to run headfirst into things I don’t yet know. Most of my projects began with me thinking, “Why not try it?” I chase what interests me, teach myself whatever I need, and stay energized by the process of figuring things out.
I move through the world with optimism and energy.
People say I bring warmth and momentum into rooms. I get excited easily, care loudly, and genuinely want others to feel supported and inspired. I love creating environments where people feel lighter, braver, and more energized.

Sunny loves...
Discovering new snacks!!
I frequent convenience stores and grocery stores in Seoul so often that I can confidently recognize every new snack that hits the shelf. Nothing excites me more than discovering a snack I haven’t tried yet.

Listening to live music!!
Watching people who truly love music perform and pour their hearts into it is one of my favoriteee things. And I love being completely surrounded by sound!

Learning languages!!
I’ve been learning Japanese, Spanish, and Mandarin in inconsistent but steady ways through friends, Duolingo streaks, and classes. I’m endlessly fascinated by different cultures and languages, and love the bridge it serves to meet new people and have new experiences I may have never imagined.
